History

KWP was established on April 2nd, 1991 (some would argue a day too late) by Andrew Killey and Peter Withy.

Killey and Withy opened the agency with its three tenets jotted on a serviette – do great work, have fun and make a fair profit.

KWP’s first office was on Carrington Street, and our first clients included Ultratune, Vili’s and the Co-Op Building Society.

1993 saw Lyn Punshon (the P in kwp!) join the team.

1994 saw KWP and Coopers Brewery join forces. Over the past 21 years countless campaigns have been created and KWP and Coopers still enjoy a successful partnership today.

The late 90’s brought office relocations, and saw KWP appointed the advertising agency for Sip n Save, Yalumba and the South Australian Tourism Commission.

The early 2000’s saw another office relocation, this time with a creative fit out that reflected those of the world’s best creative agencies. Solomon Street still remains our home to this day.

2015 saw KWP aquire cross town rivals – Clemenger BBDO in a bold move aimed at interstate growth plan and bringing the staff numbers to 50.

2016 saw us named Adnews State Agency of the Year.

Along the way we have had numerous client wins, success stories and awards won. Fast forward 25 years and we are still an independently owned, full service advertising agency counting some of South Australia’s iconic brands as our clients including Coopers Brewery, RAA, Ultratune, SATC (South Australian Tourism Commission), PCCU (People’s Choice Credit Union), Yalumba Wines, OTR (On the Run), Vili’s Pies and Cakes, the University of South Australia and Zamels Jewellers.
